Grade 3 Coding & Robotics Term 2 — Lesson Plans and Worksheets

Grade 3 Coding & Robotics Term 2 provides 10 structured, CAPS-aligned unplugged lesson plans that extend Grade 3 learners’ coding, computational thinking and robotics skills through purposeful use of loops, patterns, algorithms, route planning and simple decisions.

The term focuses on loops and repetition, robot status, symbolic code, robot routes, pattern recognition, algorithms, digital footprints, computing devices, simple IF–THEN decisions, decomposition, abstraction, robot artefact design, technology, IT and responsible digital choices. Learners combine familiar constructs, test solutions and explain how robots and digital systems work.

Unplugged: the lessons are designed to be taught without computers, tablets or robotics kits. Practical, physical and paper-based activities support accessible Coding & Robotics teaching in Foundation Phase classrooms.
