This page explains how TeachFrame collects, uses, stores and protects personal information, how cookies are used on this website, and how access to records may be requested.

For purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act and the Promotion of Access to Information Act, the responsible party and private body details are:
TeachFrame is an independent education brand founded by Kobie Kleynhans, the developer behind My Klaskamer. TeachFrame is currently operated as a sole proprietorship and is not a separate registered company.

Privacy Policy
TeachFrame respects the privacy of educators, homeschooling parents and guardians, school representatives, website visitors, customers and other people who communicate with us.
Personal information is processed only where there is an appropriate purpose and lawful basis for doing so.
This policy applies to information collected through:
- the TeachFrame website;
- customer and WooCommerce accounts;
- orders, payments and digital downloads;
- support and licence enquiries;
- school quotation requests;
- email communication;
- newsletter or marketing sign-ups;
- website security and technical logs; and
- other direct interactions with TeachFrame.

Information We May Collect
Identity and Contact Information
Name, surname, email address, telephone number, billing details and contact preferences.
Account Information
Username, encrypted password information, account activity and password-reset records.
Order Information
Products purchased, licence type, order number, order value, payment status and download history.
School or Organisation Information
School name, province, contact person, number of users and quotation or supplier requirements.
Support Information
Messages, screenshots, filenames, device details and information supplied when requesting help.
Technical Information
IP address, browser, device, login records, security events, cookies and website activity.
Payment Information
Payments may be processed through an approved bank or third-party payment provider. TeachFrame does not intend to store complete payment-card details on its own website.
Information About Children
TeachFrame digital products are intended to be purchased and managed by adults. Learners are not intended to create customer accounts or submit personal information to purchase resources.
Educators and parents should not send unnecessary personal information about a learner when requesting support. Where information about a child is genuinely required, it must be supplied by an authorised parent, guardian or other competent person and limited to what is necessary.

How Personal Information Is Used
Personal information may be used to:
- create and manage customer accounts;
- process orders and payments;
- issue invoices, quotations and order confirmations;
- provide secure digital downloads;
- verify licences and previous purchases;
- respond to support and technical enquiries;
- provide school or organisation quotations;
- prevent fraud, misuse and unauthorised sharing;
- secure and maintain the website;
- comply with accounting, tax and legal obligations;
- improve products and customer experience;
- send requested service communication; and
- send marketing only where an appropriate lawful basis or valid consent exists.
Marketing Communication
TeachFrame will not automatically import My Klaskamer’s customer or email list into a TeachFrame marketing list.
People must be given an appropriate opportunity to subscribe to TeachFrame communication and may withdraw or change their marketing preference.
Service emails relating to an order, payment, account, download, licence or support enquiry are not the same as optional marketing emails.

Sharing and Service Providers
TeachFrame does not sell personal information.
Information may be supplied to trusted service providers where reasonably required to operate the business or complete a requested service.
These providers may include:
- website and hosting providers;
- WordPress and WooCommerce service providers;
- banks and payment gateways;
- email and transactional-email providers;
- accounting and invoicing providers;
- backup, security and technical-support providers;
- analytics providers, where enabled;
- professional legal, tax and accounting advisers;
- courts, regulators or government bodies where required; and
- other providers necessary to complete an authorised transaction or service.
Cross-border Processing
Some technology or service providers may operate or store information outside South Africa.
Where cross-border processing occurs, TeachFrame will take reasonable steps to use providers and arrangements that provide appropriate protection for personal information.

Security and Retention
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards will be used to protect personal information against loss, damage, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
Measures may include:
- SSL encryption;
- restricted administrator access;
- strong passwords and multi-factor authentication;
- website firewall and login protection;
- malware and security monitoring;
- software updates and vulnerability management;
- secure payment processing;
- controlled customer and download access;
- backup and recovery procedures; and
- service-provider and operator controls.
Data Retention
Personal information will not be retained for longer than reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.
Order, financial, tax, licence, intellectual-property, fraud-prevention and legal records may need to be kept for longer periods than general enquiries or optional marketing records.
Security Incidents
Suspected loss, unauthorised access or disclosure will be investigated. Where legally required, affected data subjects and the Information Regulator will be notified in accordance with the applicable process.

Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, a person may request:
- confirmation that personal information is held;
- access to their personal information;
- correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- deletion of information where legally appropriate;
- restriction of certain processing;
- objection to processing in appropriate circumstances;
- withdrawal of marketing consent;
- information about the source or use of information; and
- details of third parties or categories of recipients to whom information has been supplied.
TeachFrame may need to verify the identity of the person making the request before releasing or changing information.
Some information cannot be deleted immediately where it must be retained for an order, licence, accounting, taxation, fraud-prevention or legal purpose.

Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files or similar technologies stored on or accessed through a user’s device when visiting a website.
TeachFrame may use cookies to operate the website, maintain customer sessions, secure accounts, remember preferences, process shopping-cart activity and, where enabled, understand website usage.

Managing Cookies
Where a cookie-consent tool is available, visitors may use it to accept, reject or change non-essential cookie preferences.
Cookies may also be blocked or deleted through browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent features such as login, cart, checkout or account access from working correctly.
Third-party Technology
Payment, video, analytics, email, security or embedded content providers may use their own technologies where their services are enabled.
The final cookie register will be updated after WooCommerce, the payment gateway, analytics and the consent platform have been configured and tested.

This section is intended to serve as TeachFrame’s manual in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, read with the Protection of Personal Information Act.
Purpose of This Manual
The purpose of the manual is to:
- describe the categories of records held by TeachFrame;
- explain how a request for access to a record may be submitted;
- identify records that may be publicly available;
- describe the main categories of personal information processed;
- identify possible recipients of personal information;
- describe possible cross-border information flows; and
- provide a general description of security measures.

- free samples made publicly available;
- Terms of Use;
- Licences and Usage information;

- other records intentionally published by TeachFrame.

Requesting Access to a Record
A request for access to a private-body record must be submitted using the applicable prescribed process and form.
The requester should:
- identify the requested record clearly;
- provide sufficient contact and identity details;
- state the form in which access is required;
- identify the right that the requester wishes to exercise or protect;
- explain why the requested record is required to exercise or protect that right;
- provide proof of authority where acting for another person; and
- pay any prescribed request or access fee where applicable.
Fees
A prescribed request, search, preparation, reproduction or access fee may apply where permitted by law.
The requester will be informed of the applicable amount and process before the request is completed where a fee is payable.
Decision and Refusal
Access is not automatic. A request may be granted, partially granted or refused in accordance with PAIA and other applicable legal protections.
Protected personal information, confidential commercial information, intellectual property, privileged legal information and third-party records may be subject to mandatory or permitted refusal grounds.
Complaints and Remedies
A person who is dissatisfied with the handling of a PAIA or POPIA matter may have the right to submit a complaint to the Information Regulator or pursue another remedy available under applicable law.
